I bought my cage in May 2024. It is almost the middle of september and I have yet to receive my order. Over 1k spent and they can't even respond to emails.
Also, if you're concerned about pine shavings, bedding, waste being strown around your floor, don't skip purchasing the additional scatter guards :)
Really wanted to give a 5star review. As I already have a previously owned QC for my oldest chinchilla, I knew what I was ordering. However, via the ordering process it states a 10-20day turn around. Assuming I was ordering during Xmas season, I expected a bit of a delay but Not the 60days (2 months) that it took to receive the 3 separate pkgs (taking yet another week, before the cage cld actually be assembled) The cage, the shelves, the separation pan. When a company has a product that is 6x the competitors cost (using the CN as comp) one wld expect a higher level of satisfaction. Altho the cage is durable, still not sure I made the best overall decision to put my new chinchillas in a temporary habitat for 2 months, while out $600+ from the start. If I had it to do over again, I'd probably hv just built out a DCN for less $$. As I had/have intentions on additional items being added, the lack of response from customer service is costing this company hundreds-thousands in lost revenue. I read reviews while I waited & I'm not the only paying customer who has taken the time to write of such an experience.
I have an older chin with a Chinchilla Mansion from ~2016. Adopted a younger one, and wasn’t making the bonding progress I wanted to be. So, the younger one got a cage too. I shopped around for quite a while looking for large cages and double deckers, and ended tip just coming back to the Chinchilla Mansion. The bar spacing is perfect, the tray is easy to clean, and the cage itself is extremely durable. New cage did not disappoint. Keep up the good work!
While this review is new, the cage isn’t. Our chin has happily enjoyed the mansion for the past 6 years and will hopefully continue to enjoy it for many more!
Fantastic cage. The price absolutely reflects the quality, I highly recommend this if someone is looking for that "one and done" cage thats lasts forever
My little fur all is EXTREMELY happy with all the space he has in his new mansion! It is super sturdy, it was easy to assemble, and it is made well! Happy purchase and will continue to support this shop 🤍
I bought two black townhome cages for my two girls who were previously in a ferret nation cage. When I first got the cages I was really disappointed. They were not packaged well at all. Both cages litter pans had small dents in them and one of the cages was bent at the bottom so I couldn’t even slide the pan in. I had to use a rubber mallet to straighten the wire enough to slide the pan in. But the thing that annoyed me the most was the fact that the paint was scratched off in a few places. I care about aesthetics okay and the price of the painted cages is significantly more for these already expensive cages. If the door latches scratches the bars it will scratch the paint off so it comes off easy. Very annoying. But I was in a hurry and just didn’t want to deal with returning them because I had thought about buying these cages for a long time and actually getting the cages to me was a mess. They weren’t shipped the week I was told they would be by the company and one of the cages got shipped on the other side of the country before i got it. That’s just how fedex is though. I wasn’t even surprised. But anyway I finished setting up the cages and they were surprisingly very sturdy even with very heavy houses, tunnels, and a wheel in each cage. The included ledges were a nice size and helped support the structure too. After moving my girls in the cages I really appreciated being able to clean their litter pans without having to open the whole cage up. However I did have a hard time getting the pan back in after sliding it all the way out to clean. There’s some latch thingies that hold the sides together and they get in the wall. My girls are always eager for playtime but sometimes I’m not up for it so now I can do what I need to do without worrying about them jumping out. Also the cages being on the floor isn’t a problem since you don’t have to stick your whole body in the cage to clean it. That’s why the top of the cage being able to open is also really nice. And since it’s on the floor it’s easier for my girls to jump out when it is playtime. So I really like the cages now but still mad about the paint. I hope this was actually helpful and made sense considering it’s early and I have ADD. Oh and setting up the cages wasn’t difficult. They’re folded up and you just unfold them kinda like a dog crate
I got this cage for my chinchillas, my only concern is that they could fall from the very top to the bottom and get hurt, but I’m going to get the separation attachment so I don’t have to worry about that!
The wheel is nice but it’s not that silent. I can definitely hear it throughout the night
